Jo DeMars developed the vision for the company by utilizing her unique background in consumer education, regulation, and public policy development combined with years of management expertise. An accomplished mediator and arbitrator, she designed and conducted training programs on the principles of arbitration for more than twenty years. DeMars served as an arbitrator on the Milwaukee Builders Association Ethics and Arbitration Committee and AutoCap of Wisconsin. She was chair of a state licensing board for four years, and served for six years as a public member on the American Board of Funeral Service Education. DeMars coauthored the book, Final Choices: Making End of Life Decisions, with Lee Norrgard of the American Association of Retired Persons.
DeMars has been a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. She participated in two professional exchanges to the Peoples’ Republic of China; she led the second delegation and then hosted a reciprocal exchange of Chinese professionals to the US.
In 1995, DeMars received the Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year Award from Wisconsin Women Entrepreneurs and was recognized in 2005 as a Woman of Distinction by the Waukesha County Foundation. DeMars is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Kyle has been working in Dispute Resolution and Consumer Relations for many years. Prior to joining DeMars & Associates, Mr. Morris gained extensive automotive warranty, home construction warranty, and consumer relations experience. While serving in his previous roles, he created more efficient methods of data management, developed effective change management processes, designed dispute resolution systems, and implemented new consumer relations strategies. Mr. Morris received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas. He holds a Master’s of Science in Negotiation & Dispute Resolution from Creighton University - School of Law, Werner Institute. The Texas Mediator Credentialing Association has confirmed him as a Candidate for Credentialed Mediator.
As of January 1, 2017, Mr. Morris became the President & Owner of DeMars & Associates.
Process & Compliance Manager
Amanda Martinez is the Process & Compliance Manager for all DeMars programs. Her time is mostly dedicated to the CAP-Home, CAP-RV, and CAP-Motors programs. Amanda is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctorate. Amanda previously attended Texas State University and earned a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. She is originally from Austin, Texas and moved to the DFW area to attend law school. Amanda is the oldest of six girls, and when she is not spending time with her family she is usually reading.
